“Traveler”, magazine from National Geographic, highlights the Cocoa Route as one of the 20 places in the world to visit in 2014.

The American publication points out that locals and visitors now can savor the delights of the seed of cocoa in its origin, when until recently many Ecuadorians had only consumed chocolate milk reimported from Europe and the United States.

“Warms the heart to see fifth generation of cocoa farmers tasting their own chocolate for the first time”, expressed Santiago Peralta, CEO and founder of the company of Ecuadorian Pacari chocolate, in an interview with National Geographic Traveler.
